Announcement Concerning Covid-19

All remaining Regional Tournaments are canceled; Colorado State Tournament is canceled; Global Finals will run as scheduled

The health and safety of the children, volunteers and the staff involved in DI Colorado continues to be our top priority. We are continuously monitoring the COVID-19 situation.  CDC Updates

As of March 12, at 7:00PM, all remaining regional tournaments have been canceled. We have also made the difficult decision to cancel our state tournament which was to be held on April 4, 2020 on the Auraria Campus in Downtown Denver. Thank you to all our team managers, teams, volunteers and sponsors for being patient with us as we worked through these difficult decisions. While it breaks our hearts for the kids and team managers who have spent so much time, energy and creativity on their solutions, we feel this is in the best interest of everyone involved.

At this time, Global Finals is still on the calendar. While some details are still being worked out, it looks like a lottery will be available for all teams interested. If you’re interested, please keep your props (and keep working toward improving your solutions). This of course, is subject to change, but we will update our DI community as information becomes available.

Finally, we are looking at creative DI ways to celebrate teams and their contributions over the summer when the COVID-19 situation abates.
